We had four generations together for Mary’s 90th Birthday Party in July. So I just kept snapping away while Walt and Patrick kept the grill and cooler going. It was a perfect summer day and we had planned on 20-30 people showing up, but it turned out that Mary has more friends than we invited. Once word got out, nearly 100 people showed up! The best part was putting together a great photo album on Hoorray. It was so easy and so much fun. Mary just hugged us and we all had a good happy cry together.

The best part of being a Grandpa is being able to shamelessly spoil your grandchildren. I won’t tell you what I spent on that antique sled but it was worth every penny. Penny was right there with her new camera and got some really great shots. Then we sat down together and Auto-filled a calendar on Hoorray. The only problem is now all the relatives want one too!

This is my new pal Henry. My daughter told me that I needed a friend to take care of when she left for college. She was right, Henry and I have become inseparable. Allison was really impressed!

OK, I’ll have to brag a little. For an Accountant, I’m actually pretty creative. Especially since I found this new website called Hooray. Now it’s so easy to take our family photos and make great gifts and keepsakes online. Last week, I uploaded some of my favorite vacation photos and made some beautiful greeting cards my wife sends out to our friends for the holidays. And I don’t mind she gets all the credit.

Once I made the decision to move to an assisted living community, I’m more active than I’ve been in years. And now the kids can visit a lot more easily. One of the nicest things Mark and Tricia have done lately is send me little “brag books” filed with wonderful photos of our family reunions. They tell me it’s really easy to make lots of photo gifts at home right on their computer. They set me up with this new site called Hoorray, so they can actually send photos with voice recording attached! My friends are so jealous.
